International Negotiation: A
Journal of Theory and Practice
In an era of dramatic
change in international affairs, there are many significant examples of interdependence in
the fields of environment, trade, economics, politics and security, which contrast
strongly with the increasing number of conflicts caused by nationalistic, ethnic and
religious issues. These contradictory trends often seek resolution through the mechanism
of international negotiation and mediation.
International
Negotiation: A Journal of Theory and Practice examines negotiation from many perspectives,
to explore its theoretical foundations and to promote its practical application. The
journal addresses the processes of negotiation relating to political, security,
environmental, ethnic, economic, business, legal, scientific and cultural issues and
conflicts among nations, international and regional organizations, multinational
corporations and other non-state parties.
The journal
is published three times per year by the Martinus Nijhoff Publishers division of Brill
Academic Publishers (the Netherlands).
